Restaurant Periscope, Tampere
The Periscope restaurant in the center of Tampere in the Ratina shopping center opened in 2018. Muotoa interior design agency delivered for the overall interior design of the restaurant.
The upper floor of the loft-style restaurant space functions as a lounge bar and nightclub, and the space can also be reserved for private events. Because of the diverse services, restaurant upstairs was renovated so that it would be functional and atmospheric both during the day and at night.
– It was exciting to be able to redesign my own interior design. We are trying to renovate the space without major demolition work. The bar counter was structurally functional and in good condition, so ABL's eye-catching Jazz Copper tile was installed on the front surface, which fits beautifully with the new curtain installed above the bar counter, Interior Architects Maiju Koskinen and Tuulia Soipio tell about the project.
The back walls of Periscope's bar counters are tiled with ABL's Timeless of Cerin Ceppo di Gre tile.
