Rokkipolvi Swimming Pool

One of the most interesting destinations at the Oulu Housing Fair 2005 was the four-apartment company, As. Oy Rokkipolvi. The rock generation concept combines individual, high-quality housing and open-minded community. The designers of the rock generation houses are the architects Paavo Karjalainen and Jussi Tervaoja from Oulu.
Paavo Karjalainen chose a lot of high-quality ceramic materials for the site. Architect SAFA Paavo Karjalainen has solid experience in designing public places and is especially valued as an expert in spas.
Innovative solutions, tiling in a new way
The construction of apartment-specific saunas was abandoned: residents have access to common sauna facilities and a swimming pool. The tiling of the pool is Agrob Buchtal's Chroma series, which is popular and durable even in target use.
The ceramic facade is suitable for a detached house
The personal handprint of the designers can be seen on the facades of the houses, which are made of ceramic tile. The KeraTwin façade, which resembles natural stone, withstands the stress of a very harsh climate, the back-ventilated façade system prevents moisture from condensing on the house's structures, the structure breathes and the house stays healthy. Hytect® finished tile is maintenance-free.
Until now, ceramic facades have been considered mainly suitable for apartment buildings and commercial buildings, but Rock Generation shows that KeraTwin is also a stylish and functional choice for a detached house.
The rock generation facade, swimming pool and interior tiles have been supplied by ABL Finland.
