The Holiday Club Vierumäki Experience Spa offers relaxation, enjoyment, and refreshment for all the senses. The design was created by ARCO.
All pools and saunas in the spa have been designed with the needs of different users in mind. Opened in December 2024, the experience spa features hot tubs, hydrotherapy stations, current pools, a diving pool, and water slides, all combined with a diverse sauna world. All the pool, floor and washroom tiles are from ABL and all building chemicals by Sopro Bauchemie. Over 1000 pools per year all around the world are built with Sopro.
The spa's inner courtyard includes a heated outdoor pool, a smoke sauna, and the opportunity for ice swimming. In summer, guests can also enjoy the spa terrace.
Sustainability and energy efficiency have been key considerations in the spa’s design. The heat generated by the spa is recycled to provide warmth for the entire hotel complex. Additionally, excess heat from the cold water pool is transferred to the warm pools, ensuring that waste heat is utilized efficiently.

A Swimming Hall Like a Luxury Spa – Experiences in Ähtäri
Unique and different. This is how one could describe Ähtäri’s new swimming hall, where a modern municipal pool and a luxury spa come together under one roof, offering a seamless experience.
“Ähtäri’s new swimming hall is located adjacent to the zoo and Hotel Mesikämmen. The client wanted to create a spa-like facility that combines the needs of local residents with a focus on tourism,” explain Project Architect Sami Logren and Interior Architect Maiju Koskela from Studio Puisto Architects Ltd.
ABL's offering expands in the swimming pool market – ESM steel swimming pools added to the selection
ABL-Laatat stays in motion: we are known as a provider of comprehensive solutions in Finland's swimming pool and spa market, and now we are offering even more diverse solutions for pool construction and renovation. We have signed an agreement with Edelstahl-Schwimmbad- und Metallbau GmbH, and ESM steel swimming pools will be included in ABL's sales and representation starting spring 2024.
